Servers Excellence beginner server course is a two-day in person training program, with a Certification. Our training course takes place in a restaurant setting, where you will learn from hospitality experts the critical skills, knowledge and role responsibilities required to become a hospitality and restaurant server.
You will run through a series of real-life serving situations, by managing a section of tables. Our trainers will be supporting you in decision making, solution based thinking, up-selling techniques, and how to serve with standards of excellence at every step of service.
Upon completion and receiving Level 1 Certification, you will be qualified to begin a role in a hospitality operation.

Timing | 9:00am - 4:30pm | (30-minute lunch break)
Light breakfast, coffee, tea and juices will be provided each morning
Evaluation process is combined of two parts:
Performance evaluation by our trainers
Certification test - online exam
A combined score of 80% is required to receive Level 1 Certification
Please note: Trainees must attend both training days to write the final certification test and achieve certification. Servers Excellence has no affiliation with Smart Serve Ontario.
